Yara launched its first biostimulant product, YaraAmplix, in China, which aims to maximize crop yield and quality via improvement of crop resilience on December 6, 2023.
According to data, the biostimulant has been a new hot product variety in the international agrochemical market in recent years, with huge market potential in China. The global biostimulant market value reached US$3.35 billion in 2022 and is expected to reach $8.17 billion by 2030. Moreover, China is the largest biostimulant market in the Asia-Pacific region, with a market value of about $152 million at a compound annual growth rate as high as 11%.
YaraAmplix is a highly concentrated liquid biostimulant containing the yellow tang extract. The product has a high content of bioactive ingredients, which activates the natural mechanism of plants, improves nutrient utilization efficiency, effectively promotes crop growth, and improves plant tolerance to abiotic stresses such as drought or extreme temperature. It makes crops more resilient and also helps mitigate the negative effects of climate change.
Product features:
1. Yara brand, assured quality.
2. Organic matter content as high as 170 g/L; yellow tang extract with rich active substances and high activity.
3. Promotion of nutrient absorption and plant growth; improvement of crop yield.
4. High safety, being safe for crops at recommended fold-use.
″The biostimulant delivers enhancement in many respects, including an improvement of soil and crop health, an increase in the nutritive value of the agricultural product, the rise in nutrients and water efficiency and crop resilience to global climate change,″ said Fernanda Lopes Larsen, Global Executive Vice President and President of Asia and Africa, Yara.
She added, ″Yara’s YaraAmplix would be a powerful complement to the company's existing solutions and low-carbon products, contributing to China’s food security objective and our Nature Positive Vision.″
