Brazil increased purchases of fertilizers from Russia in April to a maximum of $348 million since November last year, according to an analysis by RIA Novosti of data from the Brazilian statistical service.
Thus, Russian companies supplied $348 million worth of fertilizers to the Brazilian market, which is a quarter more than last year's level and is the highest value since November.
In physical terms, shipments again exceeded 1 million tons, which happened for the first time since the end of 2024.
Russia remains the main supplier of fertilizers to Brazil with a 28% share. Morocco rose to second place, displacing Canada after a 2.3-fold increase in supplies to $219 million. China, which increased exports by 1.7 times, to 117 million, became the third. Canada dropped to fourth place with shipments of $105 million.
