FMC has received registration for its Coragen eVo insect control product in California and Arizona, enabling its use in key specialty crops including tomatoes, leafy vegetables, brassicas, and fruiting vegetables. The product features a concentrated formulation of Rynaxypyr active, targeting Lepidopteran pests with fast-acting and long-lasting efficacy.
Coragen eVo contains three times the active ingredient concentration of the original Coragen formulation, while maintaining the same pest spectrum. This allows for a lower application rate of 1.7 ounces per acre, equivalent to roughly one quart for every 20 acres, according to the company. The product is designed for flexible use, compatible with a range of crop protection products, nutrients, and adjuvants, supporting integrated pest management (IPM) programs.
“Coragen eVo insect control provides specialty crop growers with a proven, high-performance tool for long-lasting insect control,” said Eric Castner, regional technical sales manager at FMC U.S. “This advanced formulation delivers the same powerful residual control with improved convenience and reduced operational costs.”
The product offers ovi-larvicidal, larvicidal, and adulticidal activity. In addition to Lepidopteran pests, it controls leafminer larvae and suppresses whitefly nymphs, among other listed insects. Its formulation minimizes environmental impact and has limited effect on beneficial insects, making it suitable for IPM rotation.
Coragen eVo is compatible with other FMC insecticides including Avaunt eVo, Exirel, and Verimark, supporting broader pest control strategies across various crop systems.
