Syngenta has introduced YIELDON, an innovative biostimulant designed to increase the productivity and profitability of key Brazilian crops, such as soybeans, corn, cotton, and sugarcane. This new bioinput activates genes related to plant metabolism, influencing cell division and expansion, and optimizing the transport of sugars, nutrients, and lipids. Its 100% natural formulation, combined with exclusive GeaPower technology, enables the full potential of plant physiology to be explored, providing high productivity, improved grain and lint quality, and a rapid return on farmers’ investments.
“With this new technology, which was developed based on both genomics, which focuses on the study of genes and DNA in the laboratory, and phenomics, which addresses the observable characteristics resulting from the expression of these genes in the field, Syngenta reaffirms its commitment to offering innovative and sustainable solutions for the agricultural market, boosting the productivity of major crops,” according to Dáfila Fagotti, Biologicals Product Manager at Syngenta.
YIELDON has a unique composition, with a formulation that combines plant and algae extracts enriched with micronutrients essential for the development of different crops. The characteristics of the solution establish it as the most complete bioactivator for the reproductive phase of soybean, corn, and cotton crops. For soybean and corn, for example, the distinguishing feature is next-generation gene sequencing (NGS), through which it is possible to detect the expressed genes related to increased plant productivity.
“Thanks to GeaPower technology, the mode of action of YIELDON™, which activates the right gene at the right time, promotes better flower set, increasing the number of pods and the quantity and weight of grains. Our field data show an average increase per hectare of 3.6 bags for soybean crops and 7.1 for corn crops,” added Dáfila.
