On October 10th, the 80th anniversary celebration of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) - the first global exhibition "From Good Seeds to Delicious Food" opened in Rome. The KINGENTA Group participated in the exhibition with its independently developed bio-based coating slow-release fertilizer technology and products, showcasing China's agricultural science and technology innovation strength and global vision.
The exhibition aims to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of FAO, focusing on food security and sustainable agricultural development, attracting hundreds of exhibitors from more than 130 countries around the world to showcase achievements in various links of the agricultural food value chain, such as seeds, new crop varieties, tillage technology, food safety, etc. The bio-based coated slow-release fertilizer technology showcased by Kingenta, which replaces traditional petrochemical film materials with natural bio-based materials to achieve efficient recycling of resources and environmental protection, has won the second prize of the National Technological Invention of China. At the same time, the latest slow-release fertilizer products suitable for crops such as corn, rice, and wheat were also displayed, which can precisely release nutrients, improve fertilizer utilization rate, reduce the number of top-ups, reduce farmers' labor intensity, and protect the environment, attracting the attention of international guests.
The president of the KINGENTA Group, Mr. Wan Peng, introduced on-site the plan to share and promote the core technology of bio-based film-coated slow-release fertilizers globally. He stated that they will leverage the FAO platform to promote relevant technologies and products, drive the advancement of global agricultural technology, enhance the reputation of Chinese enterprises going global, and contribute Chinese strength to global food security.
KINGENTA released the plan to share the technology of bio-based film-coated controlled-release fertilizers with the world during the 80th week celebration of FAO.
It is introduced that by 2025, the "going out" of the KINGENTA slow-release and controlled-release fertilizer technology has achieved remarkable results. In Europe, the Group established its first overseas slow-release and controlled-release fertilizer plant led by Chinese technology in the Netherlands, marking the official entry of Chinese slow-release and controlled-release fertilizer technology into the European market. The plant has also built a marketing service network covering Europe and Africa, providing technical support and agricultural services for local farmers. In Southeast Asia, the Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with AgriAKU, an Indonesian agricultural technology company, to expand the market and improve the efficiency of local agricultural production by building demonstration fields, carrying out farmer training, and providing agricultural services. In Africa, in July of this year, the Group, through the FAO "One Country, One Product Initiative" global project launch seminar, reached an agreement with Lesotho to provide slow-release and controlled-release fertilizer technology solutions, aiming to improve the benefits of local potato planting. At present, 1000 hectares of experimental fields have been created in some African countries, laying the foundation for the large-scale promotion of technology.
